Resource Development Manager
Part-Time- approximately 21 hours/ week
1-year contract with the possibility of renewal

Reporting to the Executive Director and working with CMOW staff and volunteers, the Resource Development Manager is responsible for the growth of resources to support CMOW’s work in the community.
Responsibilities:

 Lead the development and implementation a fundraising strategy for CMOW
 Serve as the CMOW’s principle development officer responsible for establishing meaningful links with major individual, corporate and foundation prospects.
 Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential local business, corporate & foundation sponsors as well as individual donors
 Develop and implement donor retention strategy
 Research and prepare grant proposals and submissions to corporations, foundations and private granting agencies
 Meet benchmarks and targets as outlined in the CMOW fundraising plan
 Promote all programs and services of the organization to community stakeholders
 Lead and support the Resource Development & Marketing Committee in developing and implementing fundraising activities in the community
 Work collaboratively with the CMOW team to recruit and utilize volunteer resources for fundraising initiatives and events
 Represent CMOW at community based fundraising events/cheque presentations as required
 Track and report all fundraising activity and event related statistics
 Monitor and report on fundraising budget expenditures


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

 Minimum of 3 years of fundraising and/or sales experience
 Demonstrated track record of successfully reaching and/or exceeding targets, developing innovative and effective fundraising activities, developing and maintaining donor/ stakeholder partnerships
 Well-developed ability to build relationships, demonstrate solid communication skills with the ability to effectively persuade and inspire others to support CMOW and its mission.
 Ability to work independently, communicate with confidence and exercise sound judgement, tact and confidentiality in relation to donors, volunteers, staff and the general public.
 Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills.
 Demonstrated flexibility with changing priorities and ability to remain focused to meet targets and timelines.
 Demonstrated experience organizing, planning and implementing fundraising activities
 A college diploma or university degree in a related field or equivalent experience
 Experience within the health care and/or charitable sector is preferred
 Proficiency with MS Office applications and use of social media in resource development

Seniors’ Program Facilitator
Casual Relief
Submission Deadline: Wednesday January 17- 2018
The Seniors Program Facilitator will implement health, wellness, and social activities and events for older adults (55+) in Caledon, Brampton and Orangeville on an as needed basis to cover for staff absences.

Responsibilities:
 Implement a variety of programs (eg. weekly seniors health, wellness and social programs, exercise, luncheons, card parties, special events) that promote social interaction among participants.
 Ensure that program content provides opportunities that promote physical, social, mental and emotional health and well-being.
 Outreach and follow up with clients to encourage client participation and promoting a culture of care and concern
 Complete all aspects of the administration for the program (eg. intake, collection of statistics, monies and program reports) after each program.
 Collaborate with CMOW program staff, volunteers, community partners and vendors when planning and/or implementing program activities.
 Monitor program expenditures to ensure adherence to approved program budget.
 Provide information and referral to clients for CMOW and other community based programs and services.
 Provide program and client updates as required to regular program staff to ensure program continuity.
 Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and that all program spaces meet the necessary criteria (eg. accessibility, safety) prior to programs commencing
 Other related duties as required

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
 Degree or Diploma in Social Services/Gerontology and/or two years equivalent experience
 Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of seniors’ issues and the Caledon and surrounding areas
 Experience in planning and implementing programs for older adults (55+)
 Ability to work effectively with computers including Windows and MS Office
 Must be able to lift 20 pounds
 Commitment to equity and diversity
 Experience working with culturally diverse communities
 Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Demonstrated enthusiasm and creativity
 Use of a car is required
 Criminal reference check with be required
 Current certification in fitness instruction for seniors is an asset

 Collaborate with CMOW program staff, volunteers, community partners and vendors on planning and implementing program activities.
 Monitor program expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budget.
 Provide information and referral to clients for CMOW and other community based programs and services.
 Monitor the participation of the program and make changes/ amendments to the programming and scheduling as needed.
 Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and that all program spaces meet the necessary criteria (eg. accessibility, safety) prior to programs commencing
 Conduct regular program evaluations
 Other related duties as required
